We'll see how it goes. I ordered an absentee ballot too last week. Hasn't come in yet.
I've been voting in-person absentee (where you go stand in line on a Saturday morning at the county election board instead of Tuesday morning at a church) since the 2000 election, when I actually had to stand in line for a couple of hours outside the principal's office in an elementary school (talk about triggering some PTSD). That's not a good option for me this time, so I signed up for "don't even show your happy arse up" absentee voting. We'll see how it goes. I ordered an absentee ballot too last week. Hasn't come in yet.
You and me both, brother.I'm in one term Horn's district and I can assure y'all I'll be taking my happy azz to the polls!
I totally get the absentee vote if it’s a time or distance thing. But, if I can get to mailbox, I can get to my voting location.
You just ain't doing it right my friend. Scope out the parking lot and when a pretty woman starts to get in that long line get in right behind her and turn the charm on. Heck, you can have a date lined up before you fill out your ballot if you work it right.Yeah the lines can get pretty long here and I'm not one for standing in line much especially while wearing a mask cause there sure won't be much "social distancing" going on.
The last time I voted early the line was just as long or maybe even longer than voting on election day.
Prolly not but you never know with a postal worker.I could be wrong but I don't think that's going to be happening in Shawnee. Also, I drop my mail directly at the Post Office. I don't know if that makes any difference but I'm not too worried about it here.
