Voting is supposed to be a privilege for the citizens of this country and is important. Absentee voting is similar to writing a check and not having it clear your bank account, you don't know if it got there or not. I want my vote to clear, I'm voting in person and placing it in the machine personally. The liberals can bite me.

I had to vote absentee for several years while in the Military, but always in person afterward.
I do remember the Bush/Kerry election where Military absentee ballots were never counted in Florida because they didn't come in until after the deadline. Who's fault was that?

Now in this day and age of computers, who do you complain to if your ballot doesn't show up or is not counted?
If you can show it was received and not counted, will it be given a do over and officially counted after the election?
I'll be standing in line so I can personally shove that ballot into the machine.

Here, but occasionally There.
As for the wife, our youngest son, and myself, we will be voting in person. That is the most important thing we will do for some time. Immediately after voting, we will be heading out for a 3 week vacation across Colorado, Utah, and parts of Arizona. Going to go see Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, Petrified Forest National Park, and the Painted Desert.

In spite of all that natural beauty to go see, voting is much more important, regardless of how many pictures I take.

I think the longest I have waited in line was an hour to hour-and-a-half. We vote in a rather large church, and they made use of every hallway, corner, twist and turn to get as many people inside as possible. This year may be interesting with 'social distancing' and all.
