Its not about being PC its about showing a little respect for your fellow man. It is wonderful that someone was able to help the man, that is absolutely going above and beyond for someone you don't know. But I find the posting of his picture on what is likely his worst day in recent memory to be a little disrespectful. To be honest I wouldn't want that picture posted if it was my wife.

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But, if you think it's so disrespectful maybe you should stop coming back to this post. Was his name given anywhere? Is it possible to make out who he is from the angle of this photo? I don't believe any disrespect is shown by posting this photo. All this photo served was to display the field dressing my brother applied to this individual. And for the record, this person did not mind being photographed.

Sounds like a tribute to modern automotive design. Airbags, seatbelts, crumple zones, etc., etc. Friends of mine still curse Nader for killing the Corvair (really old friends), but the annual national highway traffic death count is down, in part, because of stuff like this.

Sounds like all involved were also lucky.

My compliments to the rescuer. About the pix, we live in a new world, and that stuff seems to be here to stay. As an old pro photographer (really old--think flash powder) I would have been shooting if there was time, but I would never release anything without a signed release.

Sounds like a tribute to modern automotive design.

I remember watching a video of a test crash of two cars from different eras. One car was from the era of "We sure don't build them like this anymore!" It was massive. Big bumper. Big grill. Those wings (or whatever they're called) that protrude from the rear fenders. It was a behemoth.

The other car was a mid size current production. Maybe a Honda or Toyota.

Anyway, the test was to crash these two cars head on. I don't remember the speed. But the monster, the one that we point to and say, "They don't make them, etc." That one just crumpled up. It was destroyed and if anybody had been inside, they doubtless would have been hurt or worse because the interior was similarly destroyed.

The modern car was also badly damaged on the outside. But inside, the interior portion was completely intact.

I just thought that was interesting.

Those were a 1959 Impala and a 2009 Impala.

We don't seem to have a problem with pics of our Soldiers all bloody and posted on forums, get use to this social media world we live in, it's only going to get worse. I don't have a problem with anything Fenix put up. I have seen a lot worse you can go complain about than this. I just think it gets old people coming in to a thread and highjacking it with whining and complaining because they didn't post it the way they would have or they think it's wrong. If the media would have gotten there first they would have had a lot more BLOODY footage and put it up on the 10 o'clock news and teased you with pics to get you to watch it. Fenix, great deed your brother did, he picked up a few blessings yesterday.
