Good! I was just pointing out that some of it was pretty high so someone would compare pricing before making a rush purchase. I won't say anything next time.
Not trying to offend you but comparing any of today's pricing to 12 cent a round it's all going to sound pretty high. If you compare Academy's prices to other sites it's like I said reasonable.

Oh geez for goodness sakes the links posted today varied from $220/1000 to $280/1000 all in the same day. I will go back and edit my post...

So would 34¢ a piece be like $340 per thousand? Do they charge $5 to ship it? I think some of that stuff would be over $350.00 per thousand wouldn't it.
When just a few weeks ago you could buy 1K rounds of .223 under $300 for name brand US made ammo.
Just inventoried available bullets, brass, powder and primers.
I'm good......

I guess if you compare stuff be shoving it up your ass. But that isn't how I do it.

One of the links comes out to about $.28/round with tax before shipping. If you are pleased with that price by all means stock up. I stocked up when it was cheap and will wait for demand to slacken and price to come back down.

I did stock up. Have plenty. When I see a low enough price, I buy more.
My post was intended to help out those that are looking for ammo...not the guys who filled their safe before everything went scarce.
Yeah...some of the prices are a little up there, but its the regular Academy prices. There not inflated 100-200% like elsewhere.
If you buy the maximum 5 units, the cents per round prices on 9mm for those links are 21.6, 30.3, 24.5, 21.7, & 29.0 - The cents per round prices for the .223/5.56 are 41.8, 41.8, 42.9, 47.5, 39.0, & 42.9
Those are fair prices...some on the steep side but 22 cents a round for 9mm delivered to your door is a great price in our current situation for someone who doesn't have any or the guy that's looking to add to his pile.

I though we were here to try and help each other out...so that's what I was trying to do.
The ammo is available to buy now at a decent price...which isn't the case everywhere.

For some reason using Academy for purchasing ammo online never crossed my mind but if you go back and look at post #7 I was able to pick up 9mm for 18¢ per round delivered after tax from Academy thanks to @jmike314 giving us a heads-up......thanks again Mike !

I too wanted to top off my existing supply. In today's market place Academy was still reasonably priced when compared to other ammo sites on the web and a hell of a lot better priced than what the price gougers are asking. Thanks @jmike314 for making me aware of Academy's pricing.

Thank you and I appreciate it. I may have been understood wrong but I was just pointing out that some of that was pretty expensive in comparison. The difference between the 21.6 and the 30.3 for 9mm is what I was noting. In the 5 box limit that difference is over $20 and judging by the way people lose their mind about $20 in fuel, I was just making people aware. Lol
