If people are so upset with the policy they should take a bus...or drive...I get so sick and tired of people saying, "this is a violation of my rights...." bla...bla...bla...show me where it says in the Constitution that you have the right to fly and not be screened. You will look a lifetime and never find it because its not a right it is a choice...if you don't like it don't fly take a diffrent mode of transportation.

Ridiculous statement,I hate flying because of TSA delays.I would take any other form of transportation if I could but ,like most people,I don't have the option of taking an extra 2 days to get somewhere and 2 days to come home.

Some of us fly because there is no other choice. Driving or taking a bus is not an option. Flying is the only way to get there on time.

I have nothing to hide. There are some things I want to take with me though that aren't allowed, like my leatherman, unless I check it. Since I don't do long trips or check baggage that's not really an option.

How do I think it should be done? Not at all. Just like in the 70's and prior. We walked to the gate with our families, they hugged us good bye, and stood around as our plane took off. When we got back they were at the gate waiting on us. And allow those of us with guns to carry them on the plane. Just try to hijack that sucker when I'm on it then.

To fully understand my feelings on this just read my sig line. It pretty much says it all.

My viewpoint is you have no "right" to drive or fly. They are both privlages, and therefore have to abide by the terms and conditions of each. IMHO

What do you think they are accomplishing by doing airport screenings?
Not counting giving you a false sense of security.

are you really going to argue that airport screening does nothing?

Whether it provides absolute safety or just some safety along with the sense of safety then it has done something.

But again, what is the alternative?

No, your neighbor got busted because they got turned in, or were caught selling, or something like that. Your neighbor's house can not take off, and be turned in to a big, flying weapon. Different circumstances all together.

Simular circumstances? Drunk driver check point. You are not being checked because the guy ahead of you is drunk, but because they are checking EVERYBODY. Why? because they don't want the one that is driving the deadly weapon (while drunk) to kill the rest of the innocent people on the road.

If you aren't breaking any laws, what are you so worried about?

.

Who said the neighbor was busted because they got turned in? Ad why is that relevant? In this scenario I ma being roused for something someone else did. Have you never seen a meth lab explode? It flies in all directions and is extremely dangerous. It's not all that different. In both cases I am assumed guilty until I prove otherwise. It's exactly the same thing. Guilt by association. They used the plane as a weapon and since I am flying too, I must be wanting to do the same thing.

DUI checkpoint? Don't get me started on that unconstitutional work of art.

If I'm not breaking any laws, what are YOU so worried about?

Besides, what are you worried about taking on the plane that you are not supposed to? What do you have to hide? I have nothing.
Great. So I assume you'll have no problem with being searched every time you get in and out of your car--after all, people have been using cars for crimes for a long time.

What do you have to hide? And it's a choice--you can always walk.

Where did I say it "does nothing"?
Tell me your not gullible enough to believe it provides absolute safety. :pms2:

It will be interesting to see how far we can take this "you have no right to . . . . " thing. How many more things do I not have a 'right' to do?

Ride a horse
Buy a house
Walk on the sidewalk
Eat bacon
Consume poly-unstaurated fats
But Happy meals for my kids (with toys included)

The list is endless, is it not?
