My Remington 552 will shoot 22 short through long rifle. I’ve never seen 22 long to try.I find that a pump .22 is best as a field gun. None of my other .22s are as nice to take a walk around the farm with. They're not something I target shoot with, or go out to dump a bunch of ammo with, but if I'm going to use it from practical purposes, pumps are hard to beat.
Also, my pumps can shoot anything from shorts to LR, which is not something many of my others can do.
I may be a bit biased as well...
I have a 1890 Winchester pump gallery gun. Shoots just as good today as it did when new.Everyone needs a gallery gun in their life!
