This is the key part to the whole mess.

Federal agents on Thursday raided one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of ghost-gun parts, a sign that federal law enforcement is cracking down on kits that allow people to make weapons at home.

They're going to come after parts next . . . . ugh. Way to focus on the real problems. Idiots.

If you bought an 80% lower, they're going to get those records eventually......

How?
All the 80% lowers I have acquired (& lost to unfortunate accident) were paid for with cash. & 1 was given to me as a gift.

I told the guy I want 2 of those, he gave me 2 of them & I gave him cash money. No records there to find. How is anyone going to get "records"?

I try to avoid tough talk on the internet because im really not a badass irl...but a line has to be drawn in the sand at some point otherwise we should all accept that the 2nd amendment is through. Soon our gun laws will resemble those of mexico (look into it if you havnt already). Where gun ownership is a constitutional "right" but the entire country has only 1 gun store, the types of firearms legal to own is extremely restricted, and one has to jump through hoops to legally purchase one.

From what I've seen the cartels must spend a bunch at that one gun store . . . :hey3:

well that's the whole problem...the cartels import the firearms illegally because, well, criminals commit crime. All the while the common law-abiding citizen of Mexico has their hands tied and is completely unable to defend themselves. The people are literally sandwiched between heavily armed crime lords (I think of it similar to medieval japan feudalism) and the other slice being extremely corrupt government that exploits the safety of the people they "represent" in exchange for drug money from the cartels. its screwed.
