Really, I don’t think the weight of the truck would be that much of a consideration, but there is one advantage that electric vehicles have over ICE vehicles—they have lots of torque, and it’s basically all available at 0rpm. If you’re going for maximum damage, the Lightning has over 700ft-lbs of torque, and it’s all available from the jump, so as long as you don’t lose traction, once you get it going, there’s not much short of a solid building that’s going to stop it.

In that way, it really is like getting hit by a tank…
Mass X Acceleration as well. Torque is great for getting out of a hole...

Lord knows “why” this guy did this. My wild fanny guess of the day, he wanted to kill himself and planned a big-bang send off … but didn’t quite get the “bang” right”.
There’s a lot of stuff about the Vegas bombing that doesn’t make sense. It didn’t look like there was a crowd, and the IED wasn’t made right to actually do damage (seriously, fireworks?), so it just seems like it was more of statement (maybe about veteran suicide) than an actual attack.

But who knows…
