Any members here do flooring?

Like laminate or hardwood, not tile. I'm needing to replace my carpet and I dont want more carpet. I think I have about 550 sq ft IIRC. I did measure to get an estimate for materials but cant remember exactly but 550 is close.
The installer would have to move some furniture and I can't help with that so a partner may be in order.
So move some furniture, remove the carpet and prep the floor in whatever way it need, maybe just sweep? and then lay the flooring.

I did my wood floors. Easy but time consuming.
i did it for 1/2 the cost of the bids even with buying a wood floor nailer, nails and renting a concrete nailer.

I am a remodel contractor and we do quite a bit of the laminate. What is your location?

I'm with you. I have done lam, vinyl, sheet and tile; but those days are over.

Finding a reputable, dependable, qualified installer is a job.
I would hope that starting here would be your best choice.

I bought myself a nice large ceramic tile saw back in December. Then a death in the family has ALL of my spare time working on properties. So eventually I'll get carpets replaced.
