I thought they milled the slide for sights on the side of those guns for LA and Chicago.
That was on the GEN 1 guns. GEN 2 they put them back in the traditional locations to account for the crotch-grab / head-tilt used with that shooting technique.

today was a rare day.
I'd wanted a Springfield EMP4 CCC a found one. Used, but looks like it hasn't been fired since it left the factory.
While waiting on the ATF blessing for the EMP4, I saw a Ruger SP101 in 327 Federal Magnum, 3" barrel, in the case. I've wanted one of these for a long time. Triggers on these are supposed to be very gritty, I have to wonder of trigger job has been done on this one. Heavy pull, but smooth.
Now if run into a S&W 696 at a good price I'll have a trifecta of wanted, but couldn't find at a reasonable price, handguns. aI doubt that will happen.

I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a 101 in 327. That’s a stout setup.

Bought a PSA Dagger and an extra frame. Put an Advantage Arms 22LR slide on the extra frame.

I'm not a fan of the PSA magwell design. I wish I could find a magwell adapter that didn't cost almost as much as the frames.

I have a very similar project going...bought the PSA frame a while back, added a Brownells slide/kit + a barrel a brother in law gave me for Christmas. Ended up not being a huge fan of the PSA trigger, so I bought a Lone Wolf 80% kit to transfer the 9mm slide to, and ordered one of those Advantage Arms 22lr slides this morning to put on the PSA frame.

I haven't shot these yet . . . hopefully the trigger isn't too stiff.

Not actually today, but I sold some rainy day stock a few weeks ago for 5" 9mm AR upper from Alpha Shooting Sports and then ordered some MEAN Arms Endomag conversions to make 9mm mags out of a few PMAGs so I don't have to modify my lower. Tried like hell to find some of those Endomags locally, but it seemed like nobody had ever heard of them. Haven't made it to the range yet, but I'm excited to try it out. The upper came with a heavier buffer spring and I've already got an H3 buffer, so hopefully I'm set. Now to find some ultra cheap 9mm...
