As the T-shirt reads....."I'm a gunaholic. On the road to recovery. Oops...my bad. This really is the road to the local gun shop to buy another gun."

Patiently...nah...I'm lying....like a kid on Christmas Eve.....not being patient....waiting for shipment of SRM 1216 FDE semi-auto semi-bullpup shotgun....four tube removable magazine...16 + 1. It's kinda like my IWI TS-12 (full bullpup three tube 15+1 fixed) with the magazine feature I wish the IWI had.

Found on LGS Clearance Shelf a NIB Crimson Trace red laser grip "mahagony" flavor LG-408 for a NIB Kimber 9mm stainless SOLO I bought and never took out of box. (I run this laser grip on several Kimbers with great pleasure, success.) Mated up perfectly and looks fantastic. SOLO is striker fired mini-1911 style, not reliable enough (hence, discontinued) to bet my life on, but just looks like I need it. Feels sweet; looks great. Paid $100 + tax for laser. CT MSRP was well over $300 as I recall. Kimber closed them out when SOLO was discontinued, at $220 + shipping. Wandering between LGSs looking for good deals is city time rendition of hunting....never know what one will bag. :) :) :)

Picked up a pre-owned (that's nicer than used... :) :) :) ) looks barely fired Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle at LGS last week. Stainless metal and very nice wooden stock with really nice high gloss finish. Only two very small stock dings on right side of grip. Stock looks factory, but does not have the sling stud/swivel on the bottom rear of the stock. Has the stainless sling swivel/loop on the fore end metal as normal. Don't think I've ever seen one without the stud/swivel on stock. Factory Aw ****, maybe?? Paid more than I wanted to pay, but they are over $1300 new now. And, I'm at that point in life where money doesn't mean anything....a resource replenishing faster than I can spend it. Possibly need a wifey to help out. Naw, been there, done that. Wifey deceased...with her 30yrs; without 21yrs. I'd give everything I'll ever have to have her back to help spend my money, but not a penny for a new one to have to break in correctly. To paraphrase Paul Newman's old adage, "After having filet mignon for 30yrs, can't settle for hamburger now." Plenty of money and no adult supervision in my life. Some days it is a hoot. But, most days just lonely. :) :) :) Oops, time to hit the gun shops. Next time, maybe relate about my Barrett collection. Going to Barrett in TN for a week in May. Don't get any ideas about hitting my house while out of town. Really high end triple security systems. Only couple defensive guns live there. Everything else are at my rural farm properties or in the vault of the retired bank we bought primarily for the vault, remainder renovated into a guys' play house. Out...

Got it a few days ago, just got to use it. Took my new shadow tech mod7 hog saddle and 0311-G tripod out. I thought it would be a piece of cake, turns out I actually have a little bit of a learning curve or technique to pick up.
Have used the Hog Saddle and 0311 tripod for several years in ground deer blinds with great success over hay fields upwards to a 1000yds. Setup is a little heavy for humping it, but nice for blind work. Drive Ranger up creek. Carry over bank into back of blind.

Was off work today so I put together my workbench. Had plans to build one out of wood but saw this at Lowe’s and got it. Still have to bolt down the press and my Lee Bench Primer tool. Just trying to figure out the best way to have everything before I go screwing the top up. And yes… 1lb Hodgdon Powders fit in the top storage area above the pegboard. Still have a few more things to get before I start pressing out rounds but I’m almost there!

Nice bench. Please, more pics when finished mounting reloading equipment. For future consideration, I'm big on office file cabinets for benches./storage. Use 1"-2" laminated butcher block tops with cabinets for the pedestals. I've made long 6'-12'+ row of cabinets with the butcher block tops for storage/work surfaces for self and friends. Sometimes use taller 4-5 drawer cabinets with top bolted between them at sitting or standing heights depending upon application. Taller cabinets allow putting top over table with closing/locking front door. Have used 5 drawer side pull (42" wide) cabinets, pulling to outside from center bench top, with top/closing door. Taller, wider cabinets make for an nice alcove effect. Pick up used, excellent condition cabinets for $2-$20 at GoodWill type outlets. File cabinets are the Legos/Tinker Toys/Lincoln Logs of storage/benches.

I have an in-line fabrication mount coming with plates for my M-Press and my Lee Primer. I’ll post pics when I get the mount bolted down. I should be able to start reloading after that.

I've been piggybacking my dad's safe until we got far enough on the other side of this house build to order one of my own. 5 months after placing the order with SCI in Tulsa, it was finally installed last Friday. Below is a stock image that is close to what mine looks like. I went with the Fort Knox Executive 7241 with 3/4 gun configuration inside.

I would definitely do business with SCI again. The guys they used to haul and install the safe were very professional and careful with no near misses to report. They even made shoving a 1700# safe several rooms deep into the house look almost easy. They did ask me to let them know if I plan on trading it in or moving it somewhere else so they can call in for vacation that day, haha.

Funny story. Reminds me of when we moved from Des Moines to Dallas many chapters ago. BIG lumper used on Dallas end to unload made similar comment. "If you move again, don't call me. Too much pig iron." Wimp...only....several safes, metal and wood lathes, vertical mills, Coates 10-10 tire machine, two air compressors/80gal tanks, maybe four motorcycles, maybe 50 racing tires, 5-6 floor jacks, three LOADED 72" tool cabinets tops/bottoms, four Corvettes, engine hoists, maybe 5-6 motors and transmission/axle assemblies, much more in enclosed trailers. Then, we unloaded the wifey's stuff. :) :) :)

Several years ago, I bought an UltraLift (actually two...too long story for now) powered stair climber for moving my and friends' safes. Rated at 1500lbs, but I've moved 2000lb safes up stirs with them...two guys on the UltraLift. Built piano style moving dollies with 6,000 lb capacity. Move all our safes. Old Harley buddy taught me that a strong safe is desirable, but a strong safe that no one knows about is preferable. We move our own so no one knows we have them. Then, later, bought a retired bank primarily for the vault, remainder renovated into a big boys playhouse. With the right equipment and a little practice and accessories, moving big safes is not difficult. One of our buddies built a "Chariot" specifically designed to haul safes down the road. Run the UltraLift with safe attached right into the Chariot, strap it down, swing it up, lock the lift, and drive away. Easy peasy. with time, you will find it is not the cost of the guns, it's the buying/moving the safes that gets expensive. :) :) :)

Went into SSP just to pick up a mag..........this was sitting there staring at me.
Been collecting/trying to find those old .22 rifles I remember shooting as a kid.
This one was in great condition for being almost 50years old.....can't find them around anymore.
Couldn't pass it up.
Thanks again SSP for taking my money.
Great find!!! Those have gone crazy expensive. Remember when I sold them in my basement gunshop for next to nothing. Had them in inventory for months before selling sometimes. :) :) :)

Didn't buy them today, but pulled all my still packaged mags out and loaded them. Not much use still in the wrapper.

Just got in a holster that is a new brand for me ---- Steel Hide. Seems to be very sturdy!! Found it new on Ebay for about $36, about half of what I usually spend for a quality holster.

I don't normally buy black holsters, but I think this one certainly finishes the look for this S&W 642 J Frame!!
