1969 C series with Novak sights, trigger job, and reliability package.View attachment 564920

FYI - I sent two Hi Power slides to Novak for sight work a few years ago. The front posts they put on both of them were too tall. I would just file them down, but they have brass beads - like yours.

So I sent a S&W, Transitional (1949) .38/44 Heavy Duty back to Smith & Wesson to be refinished. I got it back today. What do you all think?

That looks stunningly good.

Back around 2005 I sent in a Model 29 in nickel with a 6" barrel. I asked for a 4" barrel and to have it blued. They didn't have a 4" barrel for it so we settled on a 5". It looked amazingly good when I got it back. I called to compliment the guy who worked on it and found out he'd been there like 40 years. I was so impressed I asked if he could do a Colt New Service! Unfortunately, I knew the answer...but it was worth a shot.

That's gorgeous! I didn't think S&W did the deep, glossy blue any longer. Looks incredible. Kudos to you sir.
