I’m I the only hunter left in the world that hunts without a suppressor?!?🤣
On sub sonic they are quiet but on full load they are a little quieter but not quiet.

I an not hunting suppressed.
Buddy of mine is but I hunt a few hundred yards from him and it is still loud from his .223.
I do not need the weight and I am afraid the accuracy may suffer a tick.

I have not tested accuracy with a can vs no can.
But if I did it would be in minus weather and in the heat and see if impact area changes.
That is the clincher for me.

I have killed hogs and many of them with the suppressed .308 and home made load of 100gr cast lead powder coated bullet sent by a tiny amount of Red dot powder.
664 FPS.
Ear shot or brain shot drop like a sack of potatoes.
Spitting distance though.
22 long rifle kills then just the same.

I would not hunt deer with it though.

I can only speak for the accuracy of 22 lr with and without a suppressor, and the bullet impacts aren’t even close. Centerfire calibers may give different results, but I’d have to see it to believe it.

Unless a person plans to use subsonic ammo, it just seems to me like a waste.

I almost got one.
Then my buddy who sells them asked me if the juice is worth the squeeze.
I thought on that for a bit.
I have better things to spend my money on.

I will try and hold out until they make the things legal :)
But even then it will be for sub sonic ammo

I can weigh in a little on the can vs no can hunting and otherwise. A few years back I decided to do a form 1 can out of titanium, at the time it was cheaper and a lot faster to do a homebrew than buy a off the shelf. Recently my BIL bought a Griffin Armament 556 can. We have shot them side by side on similar setup AR's and notice little sound difference between the two but a slightly deeper tone to mine being its 30 cal and not 22. He also has a 30 cal can too, cant comment one way or the other as we have different taste in 30 cal rifles and haven't shot them on similar rifles. We have not noticed a considerable difference in POI shift in hot/cold weather. We both have rifles we only shoot suppressed and both have a couple we don't shoot suppressed.

As for hunting with them, if able I will always hunt with a suppressor over no suppressor. Shooting a 16.5" 308 out of a box blind or pop up is MUCH more tolerable when it is suppressed I don't care who says what. If you don't like suppressors fine, but that doesn't give you any right to tell someone they are wrong for liking them and using them.... Now I do have rifles I don't shoot suppressed and equally enjoy, hell my model 70 in 243 is one of my favorite guns to shoot and no way I would thread it either, same for my dads marlin 30-30... But my 12.5" AR pistol, yeah I am running my can on that loud lil guy especially out of a blind. Yes I know, you dont get the velocity out of a 12.5 that you do a ..... I don't care, within 200 I promise its fine, and I have meat in the freezer to prove it.

At the end of the day its personal preference and for me, it is obvious. I like to that with a 30 al I can suppress most of my rifles pretty easily that I would want to. Its also benefitted me deer hunting it the past to be able to take a buck and if the Doe near him doesn't see him fall I can most of the time get a good shot on her too...

I did not, I have been busy shooting stuff and not looking to hard. I do have a kind offer to borrow one and try it out from a member on this forum. Very kind and I hope to do that early next year.

Side note - The other thread has me interested in the .350 Legend. Just for kicks.

FWIW, had a friend that tried 350 in a AR and it didn't go well for him.... had a bunch of feeding issues

That is not how the internet works .. lol and you should know that .

The reason I don't own one is because I don't want to deal with the NFA nonsense. If they are ever removed from the NFA I would consider it . As for hunting without a suppressor I've never found the single shot I've let go to be so obnoxious I even paid attention to it .

People who hunt with muzzle brakes should be beaten with a barber strop in public though .

See I get not wanting to deal with the atf, that’s understandable to me. Since I’m already on that “list” with a SBR and a SBS what’s a couple suppressors too 🤣🤣
