Great ideas here. I've had a bunch of vintage Vettes, from '61 original everything to an LS5 '71

This is just a driver, so not wanting to make it more than that...I want to get it running and enjoy it for a couple months and then I'm sure I'll sell it.

If this was a worthy car I would be hitting up 71BuickFreak pronto!

I think it'll be a good driver with a mild 350 and will bring mid/high $20K's when sorted out.

We've got a '76 Stingray in desperate need of a rebuild. I was thinking maybe a 400 crank in it with an Edelbrock Performer kit of cam, heads, intake and Carb or would it be cheaper to go with a mildly hot crate engine? I'm thinking keeping the numbers matching is important even in a 76. What do you guys think?

If you just need a block I have a 350 010 standard block(block is clean and empty). But me i'd do ls3.

Thanks for all the ideas....I got it in my hands today and the car is better than expected, so I decided to put in a crate 350hp/390tq from GM. Bought it today for $3150 shipped.

Should be a great cruiser once it's in - I may keep it longer than I expected!
