Anyone Else use Mobil 1 for Lube??

5w-30 Mobil1 on my car and ARs

You know I was wondering if ARs would like it or not - that's good to know.


I've always heard to use it on metal-framed guns, but that most plastic guns don't really need it (Glocks run a lot dryer than 1911s, etc...).

When I was in the Army and in the sand box I used 15W40 on the M240's and it worked GREAT! I have also used Mobil 1 on my FAL with zero problems. And for those that run a FAL, know that a good coat of oil is a must!

I only use the mobile 1 on my metal guns. Had some malfunctions with my glock when using mobile 1. Not sure if it was the oil, but it happend. Went back to the militec and no malfuntions... Dunno, but mobile stays on the metal guns.
