New build? Everything should be up code. The inspector there was pretty strict on the mechanical end, but I liked him.
Home inspectors are usually a joke in my 30 years of experience. Sorry don’t have a recommendation. Your builder is the one you need to research. They will cut corners. Hope you enjoy you new home!

He got banned a while back, said he didn’t know why. He didn’t think he’d violated anything. Sad to see it happen because he’s a stand up guy both on the forum and outside of it.
That's what he said. The "violation" was a rule change after the fact and he was retroactively accused.
