Just cleaned up my Hookah and need to get some shisha for tomorrow. Anyone on the forum smoke it or is it just some liberal yuppie thing?

I love hookah. Always told myself that I would buy one for the home. There was a hookah bar in Paseo called Isis that I used to frequent and smoke hookahs there with a good beer. Ever since they closed, I haven't found another hooker bar in OKC to go to.
the tobacco, unless I'm pronouncing it wrong? I've always heard it referred to that.
I usually stick to the normal flavors. I have a small 12" sized hookah. It's good for a 45 min smoke and by yourself if you want. I love the fact that it doesn't leave a bad taste in your mouth like cigarettes or cigars do.

It's tobacco that's sticky and gooey because it's mixed with molasses and usually fruit or spice (vanilla, mint, etc) flavored. It's like smoking a Starburst. It's delicious, but I can't handle much of it.
I've only tried a few flavors, but my favorite so far as been Double Apple.
Just curious. Never was a smoke kinda guy. I got enough of it via second hand when I was younger
Why is it better out of a Hookah?
The tobacco in the hookah has been mixed with molasses and flavoring, then when you're smoking the smoke is pulled through water and partially filtered before you inhale it. I had a Turkish friend who brough his hookah and we'd smoke it all the time. I had my own for awhile but he borrowed it and it ended up back in Turkey with him. He would get some Turkish liqour and put some in the water mixture but I preferred to just add some ice to the water and have some very cool smoke. I really miss the days of puffing on the patio with some friends for an hour and talking about anything and everything.
You're basically smoking sticky flavored tobacco out of a giant water bong, hehe. The water keeps the smoke cool and gives the smoke a very mild and soothing feel. Like how a good pipe smokes when the it's burning just right and the flame is cool.
I tend to like the more natural flavors. I like the flavors of tobacco and the natural sweetners of molasses. The apple stuff is not bad along with some of the "flowery" flavored ones. Not typically a fan of anything citrus.
Some purists may call foul, but we've also done flavor combos of smoking 2 bricks of different flavors at the same time through the hookah.
