Not to derail the thread but I already have a conversion kit but don't like using the tight twist barrel for .22, where can a barrel be found that will take the kit (.223 chamber) but have like a 1:14 to 1:16 twist and no gas hole? Not wanting to get another rifle as I have everything else to assemble one.

Your going to need to order a custom barrel from Shilen or similar. Those don't come cheap either.

I have a CMMG dedicated 22 I bought at H&H several years ago. I wanted it as everything is MISPEC, so can switch uppers and use lower for what ever. It’s a lot of fun to shoot and the only thing I’ve done is pull the conversion kit out and polish the feed ramp good so it feeds anything I run through it.

Maybe swapping out the BCG and sending a couple of 5.56 rounds through it at the end of each range session will keep the lead out.

I bought the conversion Bolt for my AR. Nothing but headaches. Jamed all the time. Sent it back, Will buy the M&P Ar 22 when The price comes down , Now that Trump is back in town, I think you will see lower prices and the reloading Powder will be back on the shelves very soon!

I have a dedicated 22lr upper from PSA. Running a Better-Mag adapter and using SW AR15-22 mags.

also have a vortex 5.56 1-4x24 scope 30mm and a team Warne mount

This one is kind a hodgepodge that has evolved over the years. The upper is a Chiappa, that originally had a crappy set of M4 handguards and a set screwed front sight tower. I got the UTG handguard from FBT back when they were still around. Red dot is from Primary Arms. I finally decided to get a dedicated lower for it back in the summer. Lower is a Rock River. It's a fun little gun, reliable and shoots well.
