16”?? Sounds interesting. Who makes it? Remington? Does it have an open choke? Still won’t spread much in a home. You probably know that though. My overfolder 12ga has a 16" barrel....it's very light and easy to manage for my 72 year old body
Same, my 9mm cmmg that takes glock mags.

I do not personally. However, I've read that rifling (e.g. for the .45 Long Colt in your case) will affect shot patterns.I haven’t shot my 410 pistol in a long time. Does anyone know how they pattern at around 15’ or so?
Judge or Governor
I carry my Judge when out on my 80acre hideout. I alternate 410 and 45 long colt in it as I never know if it's a pygmy rattler or a wild boar I'll have to deal with.....usually the snake. I have found that I need to be with in 8-10' for the 410 pattern to be counted on.I haven’t shot my 410 pistol in a long time. Does anyone know how they pattern at around 15’ or so?

Just bird shot or one of the self-defense type loads?I have found that I need to be with in 8-10' for the 410 pattern to be counted on.
But those 19.5” long ones; you don’t even have to aim. Hip shot city.In close quarters, a shotgun with a 20" (or longer) barrel don't spread much.
Just sayin' ...
