AR15 in 22lr Recommendations

I've had one for about 6 years and love it, it will shoot ½" groups at 50 yards with the right ammo.

Now I have a question. Friend just got a 15-22. Wants to change the factory trigger with a drop in custom. He showed the rifle to me yesterday. For some reason the trigger pins seem bigger diameter. I don’t have access to my calipers at the moment to verify the diameter.
Milspec or Colt pin size?

I have the same Magpul edition that @dancer4life has. Thousands of rounds and only a few FTF or FTE that I can were all ammo related.

I believe they are Milspec. I have a Magpul edition that I put in a Rise Armament drop in trigger with absolutely no problem and I've put thousands of rounds threw it with it. I used to even use it in Rimfire Challenge competition without any issues. It's one of the guns that I'll never sell.

Thanks. Rise Armament is the trigger I told him to look into.

I have several of the CMMG dedicated and they run really great.
I have seen the 15/22 at the carbine matches and they also ran great.
I highly reccomend both of these.
Also, buy and use the 15/22 mags for both

15-22, is our most used, zero issues.. The hammerli is a remake of the walther/ colt m4 22.. IIRC the HK stuff is also connected to the same mfg.. The "colt" hammerli and HK share the same mags and cdnn is the current place to buy..
