Simple it was the gun closest to my side of the bed. Oklahoma castle doctrine allows you to defend your home with no duty to retreat. When facing the possibility of an unknown quantity of assailants if the door gets kicked in the wee hours of the morning I am going to use the correct tool for the job.

Scoff all you want but read some of the reports of door kicked in assault and robberies and look at how many multiple assailant scenarios have occurred in the recent past.

Or is this question being asked in a hypothetical post ban scenario?

Not my point. Of course under current law this is totally true. I derailed the thread a little and it isnt obvious so I retract all of my posts this thread except for the first. Sorry for the confusion. Thank you.

Good point.

Now lets say you use your EBR to defend yourself and rather than hide it before the police arrive so you can say nothing to them, or because they are crafty and find it despite your efforts, what then?

Do you stick around hoping it isnt found or that they figure out you didnt stab the deceased, or do you GTFO of dodge knowing you just made the governments list? These are just hypotheticals I think we should all consider.

Are you talking about a post-ban, confiscation scenario? I wouldn't use an EBR for home defense in that scenario. Mine would be in a storage tube as a last resort against tyranny. As for right now, I could care less what kind of "list" I'm on. If it comes down to rounding up listees, I'm going to be in the wind before they arrive. :)

We can keep here in the Political and 2A section. Guys, we reach a lot of people. Veggie Meat can comment on the specifics, but I was amazed.

With that kind of information on officials it equals POWER. If you can back up what was said with facts that people can research and not let them back track on, it will make more than a few heads turn...

I am really starting to like the new J.B. GREAT IDEA!

Yes, this is what I was talking about. I guess it was less confusing than I assumed.

I'm still for making a list of anti-gun statements and actions by public officials. If you want to destroy our rights, you should know there may be political consequences come the next elections. If you allow someone whom you have appointed to trample our rights, you are just as guilty.

Ya know, that's a really good idea. If a list of foo-pas by politicians were available to quote in upcoming elections were available, a person could use them very effectively.
The old saying that the voting public has a short memory is so true.

Ok I know how I'm going to spend my Christmas vacation. I'll search out and comment on every blog and news site I can find that are trying to hold a 'constructive' conversation. I'm worried that if we dont make an effort to get the truth out there, the anti's BS will be the only thing a search engine will find. I've also started a blog. Here is my 2nd post, http://murphaticlaw.wordpress.com/2012/12/23/a-call-to-arms/ feedback welcomed.
