Below is the full list of demands.

  • An apology from Police Chief Wade Gourley and Mayor David Holt and the immediate resignation of Gourley, whose lack of leadership resulted in aggressive actions by the police towards peaceful protesters, escalating tensions and resulting in violence that could have been avoided.
  • The immediate release without charges of all incarcerated protesters who were arrested for nonviolent offenses or “resisting arrest” while defending themselves or their loved ones from unlawful use of excessive force by Oklahoma City police and the sheriff.
  • Disciplinary action and termination be taken against all police officers who violently attacked peaceful protesters.
  • The immediate installation of an independent citizens’ complaint review board for the OKC PD, which will have authority to review all complaints, including use of force, and discipline offending officers.
  • Mayor Holt meet with us within 24 hours.

Releasing convicted felons probably doesn't have much change either.

So, it sounds like the protests will continue...
Did you forget the demand for their reparation checks?

De-escalation training; ok...Maybe the parents and schools should tech that, not the police....

So.....We deal with local mobs and gangs.

they should not even consider nothiing a braying mob screams...Next time it will be for the offender, to be taken into the mobs control..Once you open the book....your playing by THEIR rules....And Rule #1 i they always win.

I would ask if those people writing this are in control of the mob.

Students make demands and run the universities, even in public schools the students are making demands and marching out of class, demonstrators are now demanding and presenting their lists of demands to authorities. About the only place where one cannot make demands is the military and that's changing to a degree. They even make demands in our prisons and they're met. Things are changing in our country and not for the better.

Don't do it! Its a trap!

There protests are always "peaceful", they used it as reinforcement right after they have pelted the security people with things. Throw bottles, rocks, bricks, suddenly hands up screaming "Peaceful protest, peaceful protest!" There are several good articles out there that go over who they are and their operational methods. They are researched, practiced, effective and dangerous.

The real pisser is that no matter what they're given, we are still gonna wake up to shootings, muggings, and the same 'ol ******** as before. Where is the incentive to produce a better community? How is the kinder, gentler, more woke world supposed to work when faced by the bolder more violent criminal?
