At what point does a minority position become materially insignificant? 20%...10%...2%

I doubt every person in Hiroshima supported the Emperor. But the vast majority did. Should we have not dropped the bomb because 5% of the pop was anti Emperor?

Serious moral question there.

Sometimes blanket positions are not only appropriate, but are needed. Such as warfare. And if you think you are not part of a culture war you need to open your eyes.

I guarantee I'm classified as a "Magat" by most libs, yet I dont like or support Trump. You think that will gain me any favors from them?
Respectfully, I see little relationship to the issue being discussed. Blanket positions are almost always vague and confused. Remember the saying

"Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.’

The quote is most likely due to writer and philosopher George Santayana, and in its original form it read, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

If you go back far enough in history you can determine clearly where the trouble in the mid east originated.

======================================

I dont like or support Trump, but will vote for him over any of the parasites the liberals might put up.

Where is George Washington, the greatest American, of the greatest generation of Americans, when we need him?

why is a blanket statement about homosexuals in countries that are not directly involved 'needed' here? As i said, it's ridiculous to make blanket statements about which group a gay person would and would not support in the middle east since being gay doesn't lock someone into a position on the issue of what is and is not a genocide or justified response.

Heck, even being Jewish doesn't mean that a person has to agree with what the Israeli government has done in response.

And the statistical importance of a minority position is irrelevant. The context of the position is important, however. If you are referring to passing laws that limit the rights of someone else, should it matter if it's 1% or 20% or 49%? But if you are talking about the context of waging a war against a population it'd be a different discussion.

Would you kill 49% of a population because you hate the other 51%? There is a moral question for you.

I doubt it wont ever make full sense if you are trying to math out the pros and cons.

Yet those decisions are made by various governments, authorities, corporations and individuals every single day.

Also, I guarantee you make blanket character assessments everyday as well.

It might be illegal immigrants, Republicans, Canadians, blondes, hell, or even department of motor vehicle workers. Everyone does.

The Jewish friends I have are all against what the Israeli's are doing. Consider the position of a Orthodox Rabbi. He makes it clear where the problem is coming from.

If you want to go down that road, just look up conversations between Faisal and Churchill shortly after WW1. Muslims in the area accepted Jewish refugees, according to the agreements. Hardly the story that gets press is what Churchill rewarded that reception with.

Crazy is one of the first requirements.

I always escorted my questionable recruits and checked up up on them during their MEPS physical to see how they progressed.

Some of them made it, some didn’t…. recruiters just get them to MEPS, they didn’t raise them.

Certainly I do. Though again, context matters. Am i making a blonde joke or am i trying to ban gingers from having children with normal people? Am i describing the 12 DMV employees i saw lazily sitting around one location, or am i talking about millions upon millions of people who prefer the company of someone with the same genitalia?

We all certainly make generalizations, however you still haven't explained how saying "Actually homosexuals in Europe and Australia are pro pali as well" is needed here (as you have argued such generalized statements are often needed).

Suitable for framing, that.

Because they themselves are saying it.

Solidarity protests and marches in cities including Washington, D.C., London, Hebron, Kuala Lumpur, and Istanbul, have garnered thousands (and hundreds of thousands).

Many of the loudest protesters have been queer and trans people.
