Found something that may or may not be anything, but wanted to get some opinions here from some who may know. There's a field in Kansas that I've hunted for artifacts in the past, that used to be an Indian village. It borders a creek and has been heavily hunted in the past by several people, but was still turning things up before the farmer went "no till" and made it impossible to find anything. I took my kids there over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we just kind of picked around the creek. I found this rock near the creek, and it just seemed kind of odd. Anything, or just an unusual flat rock?

Wow. That looks interesting. PM Neanderthal. He's a museum curator and this kind of stuff is his specialty.

Neat looking stone. Unfortunately, it's natural and not an artifact - it appears to be a limestone concretion. Mother Nature is one of the greatest of artisans and will often create "geofacts" - natural forming geological formations that will sure fool someone as an artifact.

Thanks. I kind of wondered, as of course everything I've found otherwise is flint. Wish the guy that farms it now would pull a plow through that place again, just once.
