Just got in and had a blast. Went to shut a barn up and my Australian Sheperd apparently is part Coon Dog. Picked the scent up behind the barn and caught up with them. 4 of them up a tree about 250 yards from where he picked the scent. Proud of him.
Your sure they were coons? Might of been Lynxes....you know suupped up wildcats. Waahl this thang is killin me! Shoot it!
Wife is faster than I, she ran got a spot light. 4 siblings, they were all the same size. No mama.
Our mini Aussie has been around a few in traps, think she had enough sense to stay clear, some of the coons were about as big is she is 
First thing at daybreak this morning he woke up and wanted outside, got a cup of coffee and we went. He ran straight to the young sweetgum tree and they were gone. He kept looking at me and the tree. He is coming on 3 and still young. He trailed them to the pond and they be gone.

First one for us. Blue and Red Healers on farm. But this one is unbelievably smart!
my Red Healer has been a wonderful smart dog she's about 13 now.
