Everything I know about boats could fit into a thimble but am I correct in thinking that there are probably a lot of really nice, fast, expensive boats on the water being driven by people who don't really know what they're doing?

If he was KO'ed, he recovered pretty quickly - his hand comes up right at the end of the video. Of course, it probably didn't help that the shorter girl landed on top of him during the crash.

If the out drives are leaving the water in a 38' fountain you need to back off a little. I assume they were out of the water by the way he was working the throttle. Besides you don't do that crap with a boat full of people. That's like taking the pub crawl bus on an autocross. I hope no one was seriously injured.

There are alot of idiots out there...

Basic boating safety in that one is non-existent. When my boat is in motion no one is standing, and everyone is in the boat, not up on the back deck.
