I understand the first, what I do not understand is how the left keeps screaming about it. Remember several years ago that female country group (I forgot their name) that ticked off a lot of people with political comments and when those people started talking about boycotting their records the left started yelling we were violating their 1st? That is a perfect example.

The Dixie Chicks are indeed a good example. "we're" ashamed that Bush is from Texas" They faced the consequences like troopers didn't they? Records got burned and boycotted, death threats made. It was the first amendment right of good folk to boycott the Dixie Chicks. Who said otherwise?

Well, UHHH... this begs the question... did they have the first amendment right to whine? Be honest.

Also, i believe much of the stuff, involving the artists from many years ago, was an issue because of the threat to remove funding to the National Endowment for the Arts.
