I'll add one more log to the "unreliable" fire. I purchased a 21A for my wife years ago for the same reasons. When the pistol was clean, it would cycle fine. But just the slightest hint of powder residue and it would FTE and FTF whenever it felt like it. Didn't matter what round I used, it just wouldn't do what it was supposed to do when it was supposed to do it. Another issue was the trigger pull, which was looooooong and stacked heavily at the end of the stroke. In the end, we sold that one and she claimed my j-frame 642. (better late than never, eh?)
