I’m convinced to take a shot at them. 100 or so, see if they’re a good fit, then buy 1000 if they work as expected, not much to lose there.
I've always bought at least 250. I was kinda' thinking maybe that was their minimum. I just went to their website to look and, JJJJJEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZ, they are SOLD OUT of a bunch of bullets!
Go over to the xtreme website I just ordered 500 yesterday.
Don't squeeze plated bullets too hard and they will shoot fine. Load up a few rounds and take one apart. If there is a mark on the bullet then you are crimping them too hard. Once you get the crimp perfect they will shoot accurately.
I just received the August 2020 copy of Shooting Times. On page 18, there is an article by Lane Pearce titled “Reloading Berry’s Plated Handgun Bullets”.
