And be careful if you see something on Walmart.com and run down to the brick and mortar to buy it because a lot of times the price in-store is higher than website. Walmart will not price match their own website either! Insane! So in that case I'll buy online and wait for the text that it's ready to pick up then stroll back to online order pickup counter.
I just bought some canning lids and rings last week, price was higher in store than the app. Spoke with CS and they told me to have the register override the price. Easy peasy.

Folks, this is NOT a discount store. This IS a carry enough to get people in the door and shut down the competition store. They do not want to save you money or sell you American made goods. They do want as much money out of you and their vendors as possible. They love chinesium and do not care about anything other than profit. They do have a totally awesome supply chain solution though.

Typically the clerk at checkout can adjust the price to the shelf. I ran into one the other day who refused. Even walked back to shelf to snatch the price label. Still "no, the computer is always right" in rude, combative stance. I went to customer service desk who did correct pricing to shelf. Also passed along the rude attitude of the checkout clerk to customer service; sure management could see on camera record if they wished. Haven't seen that checkout clerk since.........

Years back, in the Sam Walton era, Walmart did advertise "lowest prices"; no more. Can still get reasonably good service at some Walmarts. Used to have lots of USA made products but mostly China sourced these days. Buyer beware! Can still get good buys there if you shop hard. I will always go somewhere else if I can get the products I want at about the same prices.

I should probably disclose I used to support them as a top sales account for two different largish companies. Their buyers were horrible to deal with and the corporate greed post Sam was unbelievable in my opinion. I worked with other large market stores, these were in a subclass of greedy all their own. The distribution center folks were almost always nice outside of upper right coast and lower left coast. I will do what I can to never set foot in their stores. I do shop dollar general. Their prices are sometimes better than grocery. I like they have adopted Mainstream packaging.

All the big retailers operate the same way. It’s not just WalMart that sells Chineseium. Even the small hometown stores sell it.

Yeppers...

...which is why if we can get it cheaper, we still shop Walmart. My biggest complaint with most stores, including Walmart, is that with the new law(s) allowing them to sell wine, they have taken store space for wine that has caused a cut-back on space for other products in the store. I used to always be able to find Peter Pan Honey Roasted Crunchy peanut butter, but no more. They still carry the PP Honey Roasted Creamy PB, but that is it. We've also seen a number of other items be discontinued in numerous stores.

I checked the Peter Pan website and they don't show any stores in this area with it. May not be distributed here anymore.
