I thought that was what the new DL was for so you wouldnt have to show all these other documents for everything you did. But as everyone knows that is just a joke altogether.

I requested a new copy of my birth certificate so I could have it when I went in to get a Real ID, but ultimately just renewed my DL online and didn't bother with the Real ID.

There will definitely be a bunch of people who don't have a copy of their BC that will need to request one.

Or anyone without a copy of their birth certificate . . . which very likely includes a bunch of Republicans.

Yeah, DL should be enough. Register in the district you live in, DL verifies that, move on.

We had to apply for a BC for the adopted daughter back in Oct for a name change and they told use it would take a year to get it. Also just to inform if you apply for a new SS card with a new number it doesnt help cause now they link the old and new number together so if anyone is looking both the new and old numbers will show up so it does no good to just get a new number.

I know of people who have multiple people using the same birth certificate. I guess the first one to the poll gets to vote? Same with ss number.

Real ID Drivers License should be accepted without re-registering with a birth certificate, because that was done to get the Real ID.
