At this point it's probably too late. Who would they vote for? One POS with and R, or another POS with a D?
They are the same POS.

I worry more about every time they vote on a bond to build some multimillion football stadium to be paid for thru property tax increases.

How can they justify a 110 Million dollar bond package for school improvements in a district that has 20,000 registered voters. To be funded by a 16 year increase in property taxes.

110 mill divided by 16 years is 7 mil per year. Divided by 20000 registered voters is $350 per voter increase to property taxes. In a city where the median income is $40k.

It was voted in, in a year where this particular county had 50 million in flood damage to residential structures. None of which the county paid a damn thing to rebuild.

But they will raise your property taxes 50% to have a college level football stadium for a high school football team.

It just seems them democratic process is not so democratic anymore. Seems more socialistic to me.

But you are correct. It doesn’t seem to make any difference whose box we check on a ballot.

Are you really? Even requiring it from folks who have been registered and have lived in the same location for years?

I think this is going to backfire . . . if my dad had to re-register I'm not sure he could provide a copy of his birth certificate. He like so many others would need to submit a request to get a copy. And who knows how long it would take to get one.

I submitted a request for a copy of mine back in 2022 or so and I think I got lucky to get it within 6-8 weeks. I've heard of some never getting them.
Yeah, I think it’s more about cleaning up the records than anything. All of the voter records need cleaned up. This is just one suggested way.
In fact, I would be ok with everyone in the entire country have to reregister by a certain date.

Or anyone without a copy of their birth certificate . . . which very likely includes a bunch of Republicans.
It’s a little bit of a PITA but doable. My wife let her DL get more than a year out of date. The BC was required as ID. We had to get hers from Albuquerque.

I think they should remove voters if they miss 2-3 votes in a row.

Showing DL's to vote as ID will only work until we will be forced by the feds to give DL's to the illegals. This will be for our own safety of course. Remember back about 8 years ago when a box of 10,000 drivers licenses were confiscated in the Chicago airport? Wonder how many boxes they have missed.

These morons always have billboards and advertisements saying, "No increase in taxes! Vote yes!". They should put a tag line in that says your taxes will go down if you vote no.
