I like black eyed peas. Will eat them with a meal throughout the year. And yes, will have some today. Not really superstitious, but I can still hear my mother yelling at us kids to eat your peas on New Years Day.
Oh yea it is new years day.
I had a bowl of always save bran flakes with whole milk.
Then cut up a big yellow onion and put a tablespoon of real butter in a skillet and began cooking those onions while I washed some fresh picked Oyster mushrooms that I then tossed in the skillet with the onions.
20 minutes later I warmed another skillet and fried some eggs my buddy gave me from his chickens.
Happy new year to my belly.
Yea I grazed while cooking and had some chocolate fudge and some peanut butter fudge and zucchini bread.
