I have had major issues with cold feet making me leave the stand early.

2 things solved this.
Merino wool socks, and buying boots while wearing the wool socks.
Previously I had worn cotton socks to buy the boots, so when stuffing heavy socks into them, there was no air space. Feet got cold.

Of course, sitting in the stand with the buddy heater, it's flip flops.

When I was younger cold feet never slowed me down but now if my feet even begin to chill I am done, my feet get cold my whole body is instantly cold.

Wool! thick, heavy, scratchy,--WARM--Wool.

Wool and raingear is surprisingly warm, I used to chase the crabbers out of Dutch Harbor and most of the old timers wore heavy wool sweaters and Grundens over them in some hellacious conditions.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Been out feeding critters and busting ice in water troughs. It's freaking cold out there.
