The pendulum swings back and forth, left to right. Nothing happens to change anything. Nothing will. The Right bitches about the Left and Left bitches about the Right. The country keeps on going.

We are in danger of becoming like Europe. Americans have always been do-ers, out to create and overcome. Europeans gave up on that a long time ago and just slog along without any sense that they can make a difference. The federal government has gotten too big and become too intrusive. Big business plays the American political/bureaucratic system and thrives to the detriment of the little entrepreneur.
If we don't find a way to shrink the federal government, we are headed toward a general malaise.
