BOK Mortagage group...what a joke

well almost 2 months ago my wife and i decided it is time to buy a brand spankin new house. we looked around and found one we loved and decided to go to BOK for the mortagage... at frist just like any salesman it was great. this is what we need and these are the forms you have to fill out...oh you are native american that is even better we can do this and we can do that it will cost you less and you will save all of this money... we can get you closed by the 18th of august with no problem.... well today is the 22nd and my wife and i are now homeless. house is ready. we are ready. bank not ready... apparently the dipshit banker just found out a week ago that he had to send our file to DC because they cant underwrite a new consturction loan at the bank. "I am sooo sorry" he says, "i should have sent it too them weeks ago. i didnt know until it was already past time to do it." well alot of damn good that does me now. all the way up to the 18th he kept telling us we are going to close on time. there is still time.... dont worry... after a night have sleeping on the floor and having to pay the moving company to keep our stuff for god knows how long now i have about reached the highest leval of pisstivity....


you would think that a person who does this kind of stuff for a living might have some sort of idea what the hell he needs to do. but that wouldnt be the first time i was wrong.

sorry for the rant and i am sure the misspellings but just wanted to share my outlook on bok at the moment..

A lot of "mortgage professionals", "financial advisors", and "insurance specialists" are just salesmen who don't know much about what they are doing, except for the info that makes the product sound amazing.

i have tried that and they keep saying no............. dont know of any way to force them to do it but i am open to ideas

Yeah, i would think you probably have some leverage to get BOK to cover any additional costs incurred due to their ignorance. Hopefully this was done in emails and there is record of it. if it was all phone calls i would request an email re-iterating what was discussed on the phone. if its not the exact same story in the email say "Can you mention that you should have known to send these forms in weeks ago like you did on the phone?"

You need it documented that they screwed up and this was no fault of yours or else they wont cover anything.

threaten to go elsewhere? but that wouldnt really leave you in a better situation. Go as high up as you can and b*tch, call BBB etc. Sucks its such a big investment and you feel like people dont know what they are doing..

yep i got that part covered. i have emails for days. I learned a long time ago when handshakes stopped meaning anything to most people that if its not in writing it didnt happen

Dealt with this when we bough out house. We did OHFA w/ downpayment assistance and closed over a month late. Luckly we didn't break our lease till we signed papers. Now granted the snowmageddon happened the week we were supposed to close, but the papers should have been ready by that week and so we would have to push back only a week but it took over 4 weeks.

On top of that, two weeks after closing we get a letter saying out mortgage had been sold off. I started making payments to the new lender and 4 weeks after the first payment, I start getting debt collection calls saying we were losing our house for not making payments to BOK. I almost sh** myself and spent a week getting things straightened out.

that does suck and i wouldnt have broke ours if i hadnt been promised that it would 100% be no problem. i never really thought it was possible to be so mad that you arent really mad anymore.
