Says the president of the largest university in the state.
Here in the real world, a balanced approach is probably best.
Nothing against Boren, but has he ever had to experience the "real world"?

off topic but boren cast his superdelegate vote for obama in a state that went 71% clinton. if i were a dem in ok, i'd be pissed! after that, whatever spewed from his crappy mouth is just that, crap!

Ask the college age students who live in west-central Oklahoma what they think...

I transferred from SWOSU to OSU. That is a good university out there in Weatherford considering its location. There are some good programs (nursing, pharmacy, chemistry) out there and some not-so-good. I went to OSU because I wanted a bona fide engineering degree.

I liked one of the comments on the link I posted. Put all the regional colleges under the admin of OU and OSU. Split it up geographically. OU and OSU are obviously successful and could absorb these universities. OSU already helps out Langston and Panhandle State significantly.

Slightly off topic, but there are too many public schools. In my area there are several small schools that eat up resources. I feel the students and the taxpayer would be better served by consolidation.
