Hell, just ask them. They'll tell you. I'll have to review to make sure I have the details right but the GCA & AWB exempt the law enforcement and military branches of all our political subdivisions.

Everyone on here keeps saying just pay the ATF the $200 and have a real SBR.. There are a lot of folks that live in states that an SBR is not legal. It was a great loophole for them own an SBR-ish gun in their state. I could understand wanting a letter from the atf saying that it is not a felony to use this brace, especially if there is no other way of owning an SBR in that state. I view this as a loss in the 2A battle, unless it leads to all states allowing Legally registered SBRs.

Not to mention the headache of taking it out of state, or if I move out of state. It is like I can pay them $200 to kiss their ass, so that I can later have the privilege of kissing their ass again.

I don't know. It's there way of looking at it not mine. If you first place the sig brace on your shoulder to shoot then take it off is it a brace or a butt stock?
now for the kicker If you hold the sig brace up to your shoulder then you do not fire and remove it. Did you break the law? (is that kinda like not inhaling?)

Hey, maybe SB10 will pass. Then me an my future MIO SBR can just stay in state and they can go and fu€k themselves.

P.S. Anyone who spends $130+ dollars on a "looks-like-SBR" gizmo instead of spending $200 and building an actual SBR needs their head checked any way ... and looks like they sell about 20-30 of them on eBay per hour.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

People that don't wanna sign their life away to the ATF. I think the braces are dumb. It would be sweet to own an sbr but you already have to give far to much info to buy a gun as is.
