I would agree that no specific religion belongs in the Gov., of course neither does greed, corruption, or criminality yet most don't seem to worried about those issues. Is it because those seeking power regardless of their politics want to make use of them?

So you're willing to reduce the tax liability of the top earners?

i think 50% is fair depending on how money is earned. Your talking about personal income rather than corporate income? I do think overseas companies should be taxed much higher, so high in fact that its not profitable to stay in business other than here in the US.

So instead of saving poor people money, you want to make goods more expensive? Now who's the compassionate one?

I highly disagree with this. There is precisely 27 million difference between 3 mil and 30 mil and 270 mil between 30 and 300. That is a lot of capital that could go towards new businesses or expanding current ones.

Greeds the difference. Knowbody starts a business to help the workers or to just help the economy. Anyone can retire and live very nice on 3 million. For 30 million, your great grandkids could have everything they need and retire. 300mill and knobody with your genes would ever have to work, ever.

You'll never convince me its not greed.

thats my point, your choosing to spend time with your family vs bowing to the almighty dollar. When a person says they will cut theyre hours to get out of paying a higher tax rate vs keeping the same tax rate but working more hours, thats greed. Family really has nothing to do with the later.

You can say whatever the hell you want... but you know jack crap about it, obviously. If I thought you really had a desire to know, or were open minded enough to do so, I would talk to you about it. But seeing your previous posts and your position, it's not worth wasting my effort.

Wealthy people like money. They don't acquire more money by sitting on what they have. They invest it in various ventures to increase their bank account. It is greed. Greed is good for the economy.

oh i never said im compassionate. If i had my way, id tax anything made overseas so high it would have to be made in the US, then id tie in a mandatory minimum wage that raises with the cost of living.

Geuss thats why im not in charge, lol.

If you are just a bit over the limit to put you into the higher tax rate, you can actually bring home less. It happened to me many times with overtime.... if I worked 8 hours OT, I got a few extra bucks... if I worked 16, I actually ended up bring home less than working 8, because I had more in taxes taken out of my paycheck.

The higher the hike from one tax rate to the next, the more profound the effect. I have run the numbers, and I know how much it would take to cut back and end up in the lower bracket.

Not to mention, I would get to spend a whole helluva lot more time at home with my family and probably be a whole helluva lot happier in general. As I said... if your goal is to disincentivize hard work, by all means, tax higher earners at a higher percentage concurrently with rewarding bad choices and bad behavior with .gov handouts. There is absolutely no incentive for me to work harder, take on more responsibility and liability just to take home less and spend less time with my family, so I can support the addictive .gov.

Not gonna happen. There are thousands of places around the world that would welcome me, my family and my skill set with open arms.
You might be an idiot when it comes to the tax system.

i never said i wanted to know anything so please spare youself the effort. Work as hard as you want, or cut your hours and spend time with your family, makes no difference to me.

lol...the "wealthy" already average 31%, but that's very generous of you to offer up half of someone else's earnings. Can I have half of what you have?
