i think buffalo bore loads a pretty formidable 10mm or am i thinking 40 cal. i don't really remember for sure but it might be worth a look to see what they use as a guide?
I’ve taken several deer with handguns. They are thin skinned like a human.
Any of the hollow points designed for self defense will work fine on a whitetail.
Bought these for my 10mm for deer season.
It will be on my hip if an opportunity comes up.
Underwood’s will be reserved for bear country.
Keep in mind, I use 20% gel, so add “approximately” 30% penetration depth to the depth numbers to reflect 10% gel.
Personally, I have used the 180HST load with great results on hogs and white tails. I use them in both my carbines and 10mm pistols. I created the 155barnes load solely because I was bored and I use it in my RIA 1911 and hi point 10mm carbine with great results.
Obviously, use the above load data at your own risk, but they are safe in every 10mm I have ever fired them through, but they are stout loads.
