Can I stop wearing a mask after getting a COVID-19 vaccine?

Like the fact that accepted medical treatments have acceptable levels of risk and side effects?

Hey, live your life, man. Just don't go trying to make this vaccine look like it's any worse than any other out there because anyone who says so is completely FOS and only exposing their own bias.

I don't have to convince you - just pointing out the BS I see. :D

I just find irony in trading one set of mortal risks for another. Society signs off on one, but other is just too much to consider.

So here's your friendly "bypassing the profanity censor" warning............please, before someone gets their shorts in a wad and starts pressing the Report button over and over. Thanks :)

It's about numbers. It's a pretty simple tradeoff for ALL vaccines. There's not a one in history that is risk free - nor is there a single risk-free medical treatment.

But then, it's your choice as to whether you take the risk or not. Just don't spread misinformation and not expect to be called out on it.

Where did I spread misinformation?

I’d say there is no such thing as risk free - vaccines, driving an automobile, or being struck by lightning all have a certain degree of risk that most choose to accept.

It’s a risk/reward deal. The risk of a vaccine side effect is statistically less than getting the illness by far. It’s not even close. People die from penicillin allergy’s all the time. But penicillin has saved millions upon millions of lives. You are not trading equal risks. You are trading a minute risk for a huge lifesaving drug.

My bosses are pushing those of us who are division directors and supervisors to get the vaccination as soon as it's available to us to show leadership to our staff and patients. I'm sure I'll go ahead and get the 2 shots at some point, but I'm not super eager to get it immediately.

Hopefully once it's more available to folks the mask nazis will shut-up about Stitt's lack of implementing a statewide mask mandate.
