This was given to me in the mid 1960's by a coworker. He said his uncle was a Army Ranger in the Pacific in WWII,Told me the uncle killed lots of Japs with it. i have saw knives like this with leather handles at gun shows. Would this be trench art? Case thumb print 001.jpg

So he was in 6th RGR BN? If so, that was a bad mofo. Don't know much about trench art other than I thought it had to be made by a soldier, prisoner or civilian with direct contact. I'm sure someone on here knows much more than myself. I'd be interested in more history on the knife and original owner of it if you have any.

I did have the leather scabbard but did not find it last time i looked for it.Really dont know any more about it. Its been a long time since I talked to the guy that gave me the knife. I have tried to locate him but he may have passed away.
