Caught two deer poachers today!

Too bad they can't stick them with more or a lifetime hunting ban that had even stiffer charges if they are repeat offenders. Some of the offenses carry rather light penalties, it is not really a deterrent to anyone.

Wow...that is great news! Always nice to hear the people breaking the law get what is coming to them! Poaching and stealing..(I guess they are the same in a sense) are two things I cannot STAND!

Dont get why people poach.. It is a waste of deer and there isnt any hunt to it. I have talked to people before that have said they thought about doing it several times but just havent. Just doesnt make sense to me. I enjoy hunting and the outdoors too much to chance getting caught doing something stupid like that. Besides like I said earlier there just isnt any hunt in it!

Agreed! I hunt for the experiences...not necessarily to get an animal on the ground. There are just alot of people that don't care or respect much of anything...

I hunt to be in the field.
Never had the "need" to kill something.
I hunt for pleasure and to see some good dog work in bird season. If the dogs work good, and I don't kill anything, its a good hunt.
if they trail/point, and get a bird or not.....thats ok too.

I saw a thing on the internet once that described a hunter, at different ages.
Can't remember it all, but what I do remember, is that in the teenage years, its a blood sport , next gen, pure hunting.etc.

I caught him in January, but formal charges weren't filed until Feb. (op date vs charges date)

These are the last two pages of 5 that he has charges on including 1st degree burglery, paternatity of several women, etc. What a waste of oxygen.
