I'm beginning to think I sold my last car too cheap. [emoji2]

I have an '02 Toyota Solara (two door, sporty version of the Camry) that would make a young driver a great car.

Problem is that even though it is a little small for me, it has also made me a great car, so even though I've been tempted to sell or trade it and get something larger, preferably a truck, I just don't know if I can get anything nearly as reliable for the money.

Does burn about 1qt every 4K or so.

My Owners manual for the 95 corolla stated it will burn 1/2 quart of oil every 3000 miles.
Change oil every 3000 miles in the manual.

I then looked at other engine specs and it is built with race Engine clearances.
Not a tight engine.
Good on them because friction will be less and you do not need to break it in and have wear from being too tight.
350,000 miles and drives and runs like it did over 20 years ago.

Well... I still have the dark blue '98 Crown Vic 4dr, clean interior, with 130k miles. It's somewhat of a fixer-upper (rats chewed the AC/heater wires), but it starts and runs, and the AC/heater worked when I parked it. Power windows need lubed, but the motors are NOT burned out. Clear title, and it's currently registered (with the new OK laws, I have to keep the tag).

I'd take $1k for it as is (I was offered $550 for it 2 days ago by "Cash for cars," running or not). If I manage to fix the wiring and lube the windows, the price will go up substantially.

FWIW, it has a full tank of gas... :D

I’m on the search too, and it’s definitely a sellers market. My daughter will be 16 in August, and she’s getting annoyed I can’t find her something (that she likes). She seems to think me providing her a car is like a human right.:anyone:
yours too huh..my first 3 drivers were damn grateful they had 4 wheels as a family kid car. Jr wants this or that. etc.
