Realized the other day when I was toting my .22 around shooting turtles that I need a sling for my a couple of my .22s. Any advice on any good deals, or what to avoid?

I know I want a "good" sling for my AR, but I'm not about to spend $50 or more on a sling for a $150 rifle.

Yeah, I am a fan of the GI web sling for a simple over-the-shoulder sling that can be used as a shooting sling if you want... or if you aren't interested in a shooting sling, the GI "silent slings" with the plastic buckle on each end will work fine (and you can still use it as a hasty sling for support). They are usually even cheaper than the M1/M14 slings like on the Appleseed site.

For either one of those, you will need some 1.25" sling swivels rather than the more common 1" swivels. just be aware of that when you are buying studs and/or swivels for the rifle. For those I would go with Uncle Mike's.
