My rifle/pistol club doesn't sponsor any of these matches,,,
Only matches that I have no interest in.

I just want to know the course of fire rules for 50 yard benchrest,,,
And the rules for 100 yard and 200 yard silhouette shooting,,,
So I can shoot them and see how I might do.

My club sponsors Rimfire BPCR silhouettes,,,
And the NRL 22 matches.

They used to sponsor a monthly 100 yard silhouette match,,,
But for some reason they stopped doing those,,,
I dunno why as they were well attended.

NRL-22 matches have too much getting up off the ground for my old bones.

I read a lot about people competing in rifle matches,,,
But I rarely ever know what matches they are referring to.

What is the name for 50 yard precision .22 matches using bolt action rifles?

What is the name for 50 yard precision .22 matches using semi-auto rifles?

What is the name for the silhouette matches that shoots at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards/meters?

What is the name for the silhouette matches that shoots at 50, 100, 150, and 200 yards/meters?

If you have website addresses for any of these,,,
Please post them as well.

Thanks gentlemen,,,

My Grandsons got me into silhouette Pig Matches with them at 235 Yards shooting only .22 & .17 HMR rifles. It sure is a challenge at times with the different windage. The metal pigs are about 6X8 Inches sitting on a steel rail about 14 inches off the ground. You must knock it off the rail completely. I've hit it in the nose and spun it sideways, Does not count. I tell you a rifle with Bull /heavy barrel and really good ammo makes a world of difference. The Savage Mark II and the CZ 457 or some of the best that I shoot. But I tend to lean to the CZ in .22 as well as the .17 HMR. Great fun, but it's only once a month.

Another option is Rimfire Postal Matches. Go to "SnipersHide" website and search Postal Matches. I participate in them monthly and they are very challenging. It's a good option if you don't want to travel to matches.
