I ditched my plate carrier and went with a HSGI Padded Grip War Belt and a set of their suspenders. With my ample girth, it holds more than enough.

Thanks for the direction guys. Kinda new to the ideal honestly won't need a plate carrier and just need something that may hold a few mags both pistol and ar. Just need something lightweight but solid. Jakerz I can see whe more than 3 would be in the way.

Back in the day we carried 70-80 pounds of gear on our belt and a ruck. The flack jacket got thrown away/lost pretty quick.

We had Alice gear in basic but they gave us lbv's in AIT. Huge improvement.

Basically a holster that one or two of those pistols will fit in. The fnx is a fullsize 5.5inch barrel 45acp. The xdm is a fullsize 4.5inch 9mm
