Get off my lawn.
Dustin, I was lifting this body style almost a decade before you could drive. And the IFS front end, I am very familiar with. Up to and including a snapped cv axle while going 70 on an off ramp.

A.) He never mentions a maximum height he adjusted to.
B.) He never mentions CV angles.

I dont put much stock into anonymous users forum posts.

I can easily say that I am a Dr, and you could gain extra length on your wang by tieing it off to the bumper of a dump truck. Sure, it will get you length, but the side-effects you might not like. Should I make a sticky of that on a forum so it is accepted as gospel?

I'd concider that thread pretty darn close to peer reviewed. There are people from all backgrounds and abilities reading that and just like here, they don't like having bad info published and probably wouldn't make it a sticky if it was bad info. He does mention the height he adjusted to.

Q: How much lift can I get out of ford keys?
A: That really depends on your torsion bars, and how much you are willing to crank. It differs from .5" to 3" i personally only wanted to get my fender at 48.5" which is about 1.5"

Love the little anecdote at the end. Makes your point really well.

You'd be an idiot not to understand that by cranking the torsion bars, you are increasing the angle at the CV to one that it was not designed to operate at (C'mon, you're an engineer). When you use parts in unintended ways, what happens, Dustin? You get premature wear. And you are absolutly right, that sticky has been "peer" reviewed by a bunch of people who want something for nothing and arent willing to do things the RIGHT way.

Sooo, Love the ingorance, it makes my point really well.

But dont take my word for it, go talk to Jerry. I think he has a tad more experience than both of us. I guarantee you he will say the same thing.

I'm done, regardless. OP, I heavily suggest you research other sources than the interwebz. As I suggested in my 2nd response, talk to Jerry at CORE. He isnt gonna charge you to ask questions and he knows a hell of a lot more than myself and 99% of the interwebz experts.

lol, good times whitey. I did mention increased wear on a lot of stuff in my first or second post though. I don't agree that DIYers are just people that want something for nothing. That is asinine.

I do suggest that the OP look into all the options and to get the problem solved correctly.

It's the common ground that keeps us united. Remember that. I consider the issues surrounding GM IFS somewhat moot, however proper wang alignment is a much more important issue to find commonality on.
