I post something outlandish and ridiculous and it turns into me being called a sick puppy... I don't bust all the "christians" and "republicans" who post here for the stupid crap that flows from their minds onto the net. What would have been said if I happened to be gay?

I don't support gay marriage, because marriage is defined by the church as it has traditionally been and that's their god given right. I do however support civil unions between gay and lesbian couples. I am married legally as it is defined but our wedding ceremony was a civil marriage not a religious one.

Just as I choose not to spend money with a business that posts no gun signs I will not spend money with a company that had a president who spoke out publicly on something I happen to believe in.

By all means carry on you good christians and republicans by calling me names because I don't believe in what you do.

Yup. No one stopped this guy from expressing his views. No one trampled his right to speak. All i've seen are people telling him he is wrong and choosing to take their business elsewhere.

Then you haven't seen everything.

Multiple elected officials are calling for bans on Chick Fil A opening new locations in their cities. This is unconstitutional in that the government is basically penalizing an individual for expressing his personal opinion. That is an infringement on his right to speak. "Either keep your mouth shut, or we're going to shut your business down".

I have no problem with people who disagree with Cathy's view taking their business elsewhere. That's their right as much as it is mine to avoid shopping at JC Penny because their ads include gay "married" couples. The spark that really ignited this fire was the comments from various mayors and the boycotts being called for from various GLBT activists.

Rahm Emanuel said "Chick Fil A's values are not Chicago's values". Really? The City of Chicago has established government ordained values? I am pretty sure that's a violation of the First Amendment the liberals so ardently invoke to maintain the separation of church and state.
