I’m over 60 yo, and before the burglary and boating accident, I’ve owed several firearms. I rarely remember being as excited as I am over this pistol. I hope I’m not horribly disappointed with a badly mismatched firearm.

I’m so sorry for your loss lol I got a service grade with an 80s Israeli slide and colt frame. I’ve already ordered a ww2 colt slide for it. I’m probably gonna do a FOIA request and see the info on my pistol, it seems that a good number of the pistols with new slides wound up with special forces groups.

My girl sent the FFL email to me while she was on the phone with me. That was Thursday or
Friday I think. I’m retired, my days sometimes run together. I could go back and check this thread for the exact timeline.

In order to be in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and procedures, that I just made up, you must promptly post detailed photos of the gun once you get your grubby little paws on it.

I strongly prefer pictures of nice 1911s and other guns to porn...
